Beyond Manufacturing

Our Commitment to Producer-Driven Engineering Solutions

At Crystal Spring Hog Equipment, our responsibility doesn’t end when a delivery leaves our factory. Equipment manufacturing is more than bending stainless steel—it is about building long-term partnerships with producers and standing behind our technology in the barn.

To highlight what this commitment looks like in practice, we are sharing stories from our field team that demonstrate how we partner with pork producers to solve real-world operational challenges.

Case Study: Aligning Equipment Design with Producer Confidence

During a recent wean-to-finish barn build in Western Canada, a long-term customer selected our latest Wean-to-Finish feeding system featuring an advanced flat-shelf design engineered for enhanced biosecurity and simplified pan hygiene.

Following installation, the producer expressed operational concerns regarding the long-term structural rigidity of the enlarged shelf under maximum volumetric feed loads, as well as penning ergonomics for younger, newly weaned stock.

Our technical support team, led by Business Development and Customer Support Manager Terry Marx, immediately deployed to the site to implement custom structural reinforcement kits and tailored pan guards. However, as commissioning progressed, it became clear that the customer preferred the familiar ergonomics and operational peace of mind of our field-proven legacy model.

Recognizing that producer confidence and uninterrupted barn throughput are paramount, Crystal Spring made the decision to replace the entire system with our proven classic model at no additional burden to the operator.

Partnership Over Transaction

While our engineering team continuously innovates new feeder geometries, we recognize that every swine production system has unique operational preferences.

"Our primary benchmark for success isn't just delivering hardware—it's ensuring the producer has complete confidence in their barn infrastructure," notes Marx. "If an equipment configuration doesn't align perfectly with an operator's management style, we don't stop until we deliver a solution that does."

We don't just sell feeders; we deliver long-term production reliability to help producers feed the world efficiently.
